Editorial policy
This is the operational document governing every page on aprubado.ph that is not a regulatory notice or a transactional flow — meaning the calculator, the trust hub, the comparisons, the reviews, and the educational guides. We publish it so borrowers can audit how the content gets made and what is and is not allowed.
We verify SEC Certificate of Authority numbers, BSP Circular 1133 s.2021 rate-cap compliance, and SEC MC 19 s.2019 disclosure requirements for every lender mentioned. Operated by Virix Labs as a disclosed Marketing and Technology Service Provider for Kviku Lending Co., INC.
Who writes the content
Drafts are prepared by Virix Labs writers with reference to public regulator documents (SEC, BSP, NPC, BIR) and to the live published terms of each SEC-licensed partner lender on the Aprubado panel. Every page is reviewed before publication by the Virix Labs editorial team, which audits partner lenders' SEC Certificate of Authority numbers, BSP rate-cap claims, and disclosure language against the relevant circulars.
What we cite, and how
- Primary sources first. SEC circulars, BSP memoranda, NPC issuances, BIR revenue memoranda. These are linked directly to the official document where possible.
- Lender data from the lender. Maximum amounts, term ranges, and payout options come from each partner lender's own published terms and app store listing. We do not invent numbers.
- Borrower stories with consent. Featured reviews are submitted by real borrowers matched through Aprubado who consented to publication. Some names are shortened on request. Any review compensation is disclosed openly.
- No fabricated quotes, ratings, or testimonials. If we cite an external review aggregate (e.g., a third-party SEC-data mirror), we link to it directly. We do not synthesize fake stars or made-up testimonials.
How often we re-verify
- SEC-registered lender list: re-verified monthly against checkwithsec.sec.gov.ph. Status changes (suspensions, delistings, new CAs) reflected within 7 days, and any partner lender whose CA lapses is removed from the matching panel.
- BSP rate caps and SEC disclosure rules: re-checked quarterly. Any new circular triggers a same-week content update.
- Partner lender product terms: re-checked monthly against each lender's app and website.
- Matching and fee model: real-time. Whenever our matching logic or the referral-fee model changes, the calculator and the disclosure pages update on the next deploy.
The "Last updated" stamp at the bottom of every page reflects the most recent re-verification. We do not pretend a page is fresh when it is not.
Corrections
If you find a factual error on this site — a wrong CA number, a stale rate-cap figure, an outdated partner-lender term — email editorial@aprubado.ph with the page URL and the correction. We respond within 48 hours and, for confirmed errors, log the correction openly in the page's next update.
What we will not publish
- Guaranteed-approval claims for any partner lender (SEC MC 19 s.2019 violation) — approval is always the lender's decision.
- Claims that Aprubado itself lends, approves, or disburses money. We are a matching service.
- Fabricated borrower testimonials or made-up star ratings.
- Anonymous attack content against named lenders. Comparisons are fact-based and cite both pros and cons honestly.
- Hidden fees or hidden material connections. We disclose openly that partner lenders pay us a referral fee and that matching is free for borrowers.
Why we publish this policy
Borrowers in the Philippines have learned the hard way that some "loan app review" sites are operated by the lenders being reviewed, or by aggregators with undisclosed payouts. We avoid that pattern by publishing the operating model openly (Aprubado is a free matching service operated by Virix Labs, paid a referral fee by SEC-licensed partner lenders), naming the team that reviews content, and listing what we will not do.
